Materials used to insulate floors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to the materials used for floor insulation, there are several options available. The most common material used is expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation. Another option is the use of PUR polyurethane foam, whose boards are laid directly, as with other thermal insulation materials, on top of the moisture barrier placed on top of the first structural concrete of the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n

PUR insulation foam is a slightly more expensive material than the popular Styrofoam, but it provides better insulation, so you can use a thinner layer of insulation (PUR-100mm = EPS~160mm). Also, the durability of PUR foam and resistance to, for example, rodents, or unfavorable conditions such as moisture, affects the long-term profitability of using this material in construction work. However, it is important to carry out the necessary work properly and with high-quality insulation materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
